Stephen 3rd Baron de was born in 1285 in Segrave, Leicestershire, England. Stephen 3rd Baron de's father was John 2nd Baron de Segrave , Sir and his mother was Christine De Plessy. His paternal grandparents were Nicholas 1st Baron de Segrave , Sir and Maud de Lucy; his maternal grandparents were Hugh de Plessis , Sir Knight and Joan de Hoyville. He had two sisters named Ellen de and Christian de. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died before December 12th, 1325. Stephen de Segrave, the companion in arms of his gallant father in the Scottish wars, but in the 12th Edward II [1319], one of the partisans of Thomas, Earl of Lancaster. Submitting himself, however, he obtained his pardon, and 16th Edward II, was made constable of the Tower of London. In the 18th Edward [1325], he attended his father into Gascony and d. there v. p. He m. Alice de Arundel, and left issue, John de Segrave.
