Walter FitzAlan I High Steward of was born in 1108. Walter FitzAlan I High Steward of's father was Alan Fitz Flaad De Hesdin Baron of Oswestry and his mother was Adeliza heiress of Shropshire. His paternal grandparents were Flaald (Fledaldus) Baron of St. Florent and Gwentha Princess of Wales; his maternal grandparents were Sheriff Warine of Shropshire and Ameria Montgomery. He had a brother named William FitzAlan Baron of. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 69 in 1177.General Notes
