Matilda (Edith) Princess of was born in October 1079 in Dunfermline, Fifeshire, Scotland.  Matilda (Edith) Princess of's father was Malcolm III Canmore King of Scotland and her mother was St. Margaret Aetheling of Scotland.  Her paternal grandparents were Duncan I MacCrinan King of Scotland and Sibyl Sywardsdottir , of Northumbria; her maternal grandparents were Edward "The Exile\Aetheling" Prince of England and Agatha of Hungary. She had two brothers and a sister, named Alexander I "The Fierce" King of, David I "The Saint" King of and Mary Princess of.  She was the oldest of the four children. She had two half-brothers named Duncan II Canmore King of and Heth Aethelred 1st Earl of.  She died at the age of 38 on May 1st, 1118 in Westminster, London, Middlesex, England.
