Malcolm III Canmore King of was born in 1031 in Atholl, Perthshire, Scotland.  Malcolm III Canmore King of's father was Duncan I MacCrinan King of Scotland and his mother was Sibyl Sywardsdottir , of Northumbria.  His paternal grandparents were Crinan the Thane Lay Abbot of Dunkeld and Bethoc (Beatrix) Princess of Scotland; his maternal grandparents were Sigurd (Syward) Biornsson , Jarl of Northumbria and Aelflaed of Northumbria. He had three brothers and a sister, named Donald III Bane King of, Duncan Mormaer of, Mael Muire (Melmar) Mormaer of and Beatrix of.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 62 on November 13th, 1093 in Alnwick Castle, Northumbria, England (slain besieging).
