Alexander II King of was born on August 24th, 1198 in Haddington, East Lothian, Scotland.  Alexander II King of's father was William The Lion King of Scotland and his mother was Ermengarde de Beaumont.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Earl of Huntingdon , Prince of Scotland and Ada de Warenne; his maternal grandparents were Richard I Seigneur de Beaumont , Vicomte Maine and Lucie de l' Aigle. He had two sisters named Margaret Princess of and Isabella Princess of.  He was the second oldest of the three children. He had four half-sisters named Ada de, Miss de, Isabel of and Margaret of.  He died at the age of 50 on July 6th, 1249 in Isle of Kerrera, Strathclyde, Scotland.  He was buried on August 8th, 1249 in Melrose Abbey, Lanarkshire, Scotland.
