Hedwige of was born in 0910 in Saxony, Germany.  Hedwige of's father was Henry I "The Fowler" Saxony Holy Roman Emperor and her mother was Mathilda of Ringleheim. She had two brothers and a sister, named Otto I "The Great" Holy Roman, Heinrich I Duke of and Gerberga of.  She was the oldest of the four children.  She died in Aix-La-Chapelle, France.

‌Hedwige of and Hugh were married in a religious ceremony before September 14th, 0938 in Mainz Oder, Ingelheim, Rheinland, Germany.  They had a daughter named Emma.
