Thomas de Savoie , Count of Flanders 
Thomas de was born about 1199 in Carbonierres, Savoy, France. Thomas de's father was Thomas (Tomaso) I Count of Savoy and his mother was Margaret (Beatrice) of Geneva. He had a brother and two sisters, named Amadeo IV Count of Chablais & Aosta &, Beatrice of and Agnes de. He was the second youngest of the four children.
