Alice de was born about 1115 in Copeland, Cumberland, England.  Alice de's father was William le Meschin , Lord of Copeland and her mother was Cecily de Rumilly , Heiress Skipton & Harewood. She had two sisters named Avice le and Maud le.  She was the second oldest of the three children.  She died in 1187.
