Aseda was born about 0812 in Moer, Norway.  Aseda's father was Rognvald Olafsen and her mother was Thora Sigurdsdatter.  Her maternal grandparents were Sigurd Ragnarsson King of Denmark and Heluna (or Bleja) Princess of England. She had a half-brother named Ingjald "the White".

‌Aseda and Eystein Glumra "the Noisy" were married in a religious ceremony about 0846 in Maer, Nord-Trondelag, Norway.  They had two sons and a daughter, named Ragnvald I "the Wise", Malahule and Swanhilda.
