Matilda Countess of was born about 0878 in Ringelheim, Goslar, Hannover, Germany.  Matilda Countess of's father was Theudebert Duke of Saxony and her mother was Ludmilla Ragnhildis Countess of Ringelheim.  Her paternal grandparents were Reginhart Count of Ringelheim and Abbess of Horford Matilda De Dreini Abbess of Horford; her maternal grandparents were Gottfried Prince of Denmark and Gisela Of Lorraine. She had two sisters named Amalrada Von and Friedrunda Von.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died in Hereford, Monastery, Rheinland, Palatinate.
