John was born about 1428 in Of, London, London, England.  John's father was Richard RICH Sheriff of London and his mother was Catherine.  His paternal grandparents were Richard RICH and Mrs-Richard RICH. He had a brother and two sisters, named Thomas, Margaret (Margery) and Ann.  He was the oldest of the four children.  He was buried on July 29th, 1458 in Mercers Chapel, London, England.
