Note: Because Nicholas "b. by 1173" son of Pons Fitz Simon "living 1166" indicates the possibility/requirement for a generation in between, also because several sources of World Connect indicate another Nicholas (son of Pons) as father of this Nicholas, and finally because two Nicholas's in a row could easily be interpreted as one by genealogical researchers, I have chosen to insert a new generation (Nicholas Poyntz m. Johanna de Traily) into the lineage. This assumption is not supported by Ancestral Roots.
