Eleanor was born in 1215 in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England. Eleanor's father was John I "Lackland" Plantagenet King of England and her mother was Isabella Taillefer de Angouleme. She had two brothers and a sister, named Henry III Plantagenet King of, Richard and Joan. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Richard and Joan.
