Henry Plantaganet, Earl of Derby and Duke of Lancaster, successor to Henry Plantagenet 3rd Ea rl of Lancaster, died March 24 1360/61. He was the original Knight of the Garter. See Burke , pag 432. He married Isabel, daughter of Henry Beaumont, Lord Beaumond, a descendant of Sur eity Saire de Quincy and Jean de Brienne, King of Jerusalem. They had two daughters: Maud, w ho died without issue, and Blanche. Later kings of England descended from Henry through his d aughter Blanche Plantaganet, first wife of John of Gaunt, Earl of Richmond.
