Gilbert de Ogle , Sir 
Gilbert de was born about 1155 in Ogle, Castle Ward, Northumberland, England. Gilbert de's father was Gilbert de Ogle , Sir Knight and his mother was Agnes. His paternal grandparents were Humphrey de Ogle , Sir and Isabella. He had a brother named Richard de. He was the older of the two children. He died before 1220.General Notes
Gilbert (probably another Gilbert [than his father]) de Ogle had a grant from Constance, coheir of Walter FitzWilliam and in 1188 wife of Randolf de Cramaville, of a moiety of the vill of Burradon (6 miles NE of Newcastle). About 1200 Gilbert de Ogle witnessed a grant of Adam de Jesmond to the bridge of Newcastle. In 1208 he was surety for the appearance of William de Dalton in the King's Bench. He was dead in 1220, leaving a widow Agnes. [Complete Peerage, X:22]
