His paternal grandparents were Duke Richard I "The FearLess" Of Normandy and Duchess Gunnora Of Normandy DE CREPON OF DENMARK; his maternal grandparents were Duke Conan I "The Crooked" Of Brittany LE TORT and Douchess Ermengarde Of Brittany OF ANJOU. He had two brothers and a sister, named Richard III Of Normandy, Robert I "The Magnificent" "The Devil" and Judith. He had a half-brother named William Ponce.
