Aimon I was born in 1050. Aimon I's father was Count Gerold I OF GENEVA and his mother was Thietburga DE SAVOIE. His paternal grandparents were Count Aimon I OF VIENNE and Bertha OF BURGANDY; his maternal grandfather was Count Amadeo I OF SAVOY. He had a brother named Gerold II. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Humbert I "Whitehands" Of Savoy, Ida and Itta. He died at the age of 75 in 1125.
