Papia of was born in 0988 in Normandy, France. Papia of's father was Richard II "The Good" Duke of Normandy and her mother was Judith Princess of Brittany. Her paternal grandparents were Richard I The Fearless III Duke of Normandy and Gunhild Haraldsdottir of Denmark. She had four brothers and two sisters, named William Poincius Duke of, Richard III Duke of, Robert The Devil II Duke of, Mauger le Jeune Count De, Judith Princess of and Eleanor Princess of. She was the oldest of the seven children.
