Gilbert de Neville , Sir Knight 
Gilbert de was born about 1085 in Horncastle, Lincolnshire, England. Gilbert de's father was Gilbert I "The Admiral?" de Neville , Sir. He had a brother named Geoffrey de. He was the older of the two children. He died before 1169 in Horncastle, Lincolnshire, England.General Notes
In 1166 held five knights fees of the bishop of Lincoln and four of the honour of Manasser Arsic. Between 1150 and 1160 he granted Kirstead Abbey lands and the goodwill of his son and heir apparent, the son being Geoffrey. He founded the abbey with his brother Alan and gave land to other churches. He was dead in 1169. Held lands in Peterborough Lincolnshire
