Geoffrey de was born about 1144 in Laceby, Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England.  Geoffrey de's father was Alan de Neville , Sir and his mother was Juliana Canu. He had a brother named Ralph de.  He was the older of the two children.  He died in Gascony, France.
