Alix de was born about 1117 in Namur, Belgium.  Alix de's father was Godfrey Count of Namur and her mother was Ermisende of Luxembourg.  Her paternal grandparents were Albert IV Count of Namur and Ida Billung of Saxony; her maternal grandparents were Conrad I Count of Luxembourg and Clemence de Poitou. She had a brother and two sisters, named Henry de Luxembourg Count of, Beatrice de and Clemence de.  She was the youngest of the four children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Hugo IX Count of, Elizabeth of and Mathilda von.  She died in 1169.
