Mahel De was born about 1099 in Of, Aberhonwy, Brecon, Wales.  Mahel De's father was Bernard de NEUFMARCHE Lord Marcher,BARON OF BRECNOCH and his mother was Nest Verch OSBORN. He had a brother and a sister, named Adam De and Sybil de.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died in Wales.
