Alice was born about 1132 in Broughton Poggs, Witney, Oxfordshire, England. Alice's father was Ralph Murdac , of Broughton and her mother was Beatrice de Chesney. She had a brother named Ralph. She was the older of the two children.
They had a son named Oliver I.
