Ada de was born about 1187 in Burgh-by-Sands, Cumberland, England. Ada de's father was Hugh de Morville , of Burgh & Knaresborough and her mother was Hawise (Heloise) de Stuteville. Her paternal grandparents were Simon de Morville , of Burgh-by-Sands, Sir and Ada d' Engaine , Heiress of Burgh-by-Sands; her maternal grandparents were Robert IV de Stuteville , of Lazenby, Sir and Sibyl de Valognes. She had a brother named Hugh de. She was the older of the two children. She died after 1240.General Notes
He [Richard de Lucy] married (1200-1204) Ada, eldest daughter and coheir of Hugh DE MORVILL, forester of Cumberland and lord of the Border barony of Burgh. He died s.p.m., early in 1213, and was bur. in the priory of St. Bees. Before 10 March 1217/18, his widow had married Thomas DE MULTON, of Multon, near Spalding, who, within a few months of the death of Richard de Lucy, had offered 1,000 marks for the custody and marriage of his daughters and heirs; these two daughters he married to his two sons by a former marriage--vix. Amabel, the elder, to his son Lambert, and Alice, the younger, to his son Alan de Multon. Ada, the relict of Richard dc Lucy, was living in 1230.
