William de Mortimer 
William de was born about 1258 in Wigmore, Herefordshire, England. William de's father was Roger de Mortimer , 6th Lord of Wigmore and his mother was Maud de Braose. His paternal grandparents were Ralph de Mortimer , 2nd Lord of Wigmore and Gwladys "Ddu" verch Llewelyn , Princess of Wales; his maternal grandparents were William 6th Baron de Braose , Lord Abergavenny and Eva Marshal. He had a brother and two sisters, named Edmund 1st Baron de, Isabella de and Margaret de. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died on June 30th, 1297 in (dsp).General Notes
Aug 1264 - was hostage for his father.
Note: Some say that no marriage took place between William de Mortimer & Hawise de Muscegros, only a betrothal. However MCS names her marriage to John de Ferrers as her 2nd marriage and 3rd to John de Bures.
