Hugh De was born about 1040 in Wigmore, Herefordshire, England. Hugh De's father was Earl Of Warenne William I De Earl Of Earl Of Warenne/Warenne and his mother was Miss De Torta. His paternal grandparents were Walter De St. Martin and Mrs. Walter De St. Martin; his maternal grandparents were Ralph De Torta Rodolphe and Mrs. Ralph De Torta. He had a brother named Ralph I De. He was the younger of the two children.
