Roger "The Poitevin" was born about 1058 in of, Marche, Poitou, France.  Roger "The Poitevin"'s father was Roger de Montgomery Earl of Arundel and his mother was Mabel Talvas Countess of Shre. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Robert II de, Arnulph de, Maude de and Sibyl de.  He was the third oldest of the five children.  He died after 1102.
