Philip de was born in 1102 in Pembrokeshire, Wales.  Philip de's father was Arnulph de Montgomery and his mother was Lafracoth O'Brien. He had a sister named Alice de.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 75 in 1177 in Thornton, Fifeshire, Scotland.
