Arnulph de was born in 1048 in Pembroke, Dyfed, Wales. Arnulph de's father was Roger de Montgomery , 1st Earl of Shrewsbury and his mother was Mabel de Talvas d' Alencon. His paternal grandparents were Roger de Montgomery , Vicomte d'Hiemois and Emma; his maternal grandparents were William II Talvas Seigneur d' Alencon , Belleme and Hildeburge de Beaumont. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Hugues de, Roger de, Robert II de, Maud de and Sybil de. He died about 1126 in France (exiled in 1102).-
