Hugues I De was born about 0975 in Normandy, France.  Hugues I De's father was Seigneur Toussaint De Bertrand Seigneur and his mother was Mrs. Toussaint De Bertrand. He had two sisters named Adeline De and Gisele De.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died in 1037.

He had a biological son named Hugh II Count De.
