Amaury VII de was born about 1195 in Toulouse, Haute-Garonne, Midi-Pyrenees, France. Amaury VII de's father was Simon IV de Montfort , Earl of Leicester and his mother was Alice de Montmorency. His paternal grandparents were Simon III Chauve de Montfort , Count d'Evereux and Amice de Beaumont; his maternal grandparents were Bouchard V de Montmorency and Laurette de Hainault. He had a brother and a sister, named Simon V de and Guiburge de. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died in 1241 in Otranto.-
