Boniface I de was born about 1150 in Montferrat, Italy. Boniface I de's father was William V Margrave of Montferrat and his mother was Judith Von Babenberg of Austria. His maternal grandparents were Leopold III "Saint" Margrave of Austria and Agnes Princess of Holy Roman Empire. He had a brother and two sisters, named Conrad Marquis de, Beatrix de and Alice de. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died on September 4th, 1207.-
