Alice de was born about 1160 in Montferrat, Italy. Alice de's father was William V Margrave of Montferrat and her mother was Judith Von Babenberg of Austria. Her paternal grandparents were Rainer Marquis of Montferrat and Gisela of Burgundy; her maternal grandparents were Leopold III "Saint" Margrave of Austria and Agnes Princess of Holy Roman Empire. She had two brothers and a sister, named Boniface I de, Conrad Marquis de and Beatrix de. She was the youngest of the four children. She died after July 22nd, 1201.-
