Andre De was born about 1053 in Ramerupt, Aube, France.  Andre De's father was Hildouin IV Count Of Montdidier [Count Of Roucy] and his mother was Alice (Adela) De Roucy. He had a brother and six sisters, named Ebles II Comte De, Margaret De, Adela De, Adelheid De, Beatrice De, Felice Of and Ada De.  He was the third youngest of the eight children.
