William de Montagu , KG, 2nd Earl of Salisbury 
William de was born on June 19th, 1328 in Cassington, Oxfordshire, England. He died at the age of 68 on June 3rd, 1397 in (dsps).General Notes
The 2nd Earl of this creation fought at Crecy and Poitiers and was a founder of the Knight of the Garter, outliving all his fellow first-generation KG's. He also went through a form of marriage and subsequently cohabited as husband with Joan "The Fair Maid of Kent". [Burke's Peerage]
‌William de and Joan were married in a religious ceremony on October 15th, 1348 in dissolved by Pope 17 Nov 1349.
