Vincent de was born about 1278 in Sefton Park, Buckinghamshire, England. Vincent de's father was Roger de Moels , of Cadbury & Maperton, Sir Knt. His paternal grandparents were Nicholas de Moels , of Watlington & Cadbury and Hawise de Newmarch , Heiress of Cadbury. He had two brothers named Roger de and John 1st Baron de. Note: I have not published source on Vincent's parents. Many people on World Connect have Vincent has son of Roger (d. 1295). However many of those people state that his mother was Alice Prouz. This is wrong: Alice, who was not born until 1285/6, married the son of the Roger who d. in 1295.
