Adeline was born in 1038 in Meulan, Normandy, France. Adeline's mother was Oda (Eudes) De Conteville. Her maternal grandparents were Herluin de Conteville Viscount Conteville and Herleva De Falaise. She was an only child. She died at the age of 43 in 1081.
