Maud le was born about 1131 in Skipton-in-Craven, Yorkshire, England.  Maud le's father was William le Meschin , Lord of Copeland and her mother was Cecily de Rumilly , Heiress Skipton & Harewood.  Her paternal grandparents were Ranulph le Meschin , Viscount of Bayeux and Margaret d' Avranches , Heiress of Chester; her maternal grandparents were Robert de Rumilly , Lord of Skipton-in-Craven and Muriel. She had two sisters named Avice le and Alice de.  She was the youngest of the three children.  She died in 1190.

‌Maud le and Phillip de were married in a religious ceremony before 1139.  They had a daughter named Alice de.


Maud le's second family with Hugh de Mortimer , Lord of Wigmore

‌Maud le and Hugh de were married in a religious ceremony before 1158 in 2nd husband.  They had three sons named Roger de, Bartholomew de and Robert de.
