Avice le was born about 1113 in Harringworth, Northumberland, England.  Avice le's father was William le Meschin , Lord of Copeland and her mother was Cecily de Rumilly , Heiress Skipton & Harewood.  Her paternal grandparents were Ranulph le Meschin , Viscount of Bayeux and Margaret d' Avranches , Heiress of Chester; her maternal grandparents were Robert de Rumilly , Lord of Skipton-in-Craven and Muriel. She had two sisters named Alice de and Maud le.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died in Rougemont, West Ride Yorkshire, England.
