John Mauduit , of Somerford 
John was born about 1140 in Somerford Mauduit, Wiltshire, England. John's father was William Mauduit , of Hanslope and his mother was Maud Hanslape. He had two brothers and a sister, named William, Robert and Alice. He was the youngest of the four children.
