Isabel was born on October 9th, 1200 in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales.  Isabel's father was 1st Earl of Pembroke William Marshall 1st Earl of Pembroke and her mother was Isabel Fitzgilbert De Clare.  Her paternal grandparents were John "The Marshall" FitzGilbert Marshall and Sibilla De Salisbury; her maternal grandparents were Earl Of Pembroke Richard "Strongbow" Fitzgilbert De Clare Earl Of Pembroke and Eva (Aoife) McMurrough. She had five brothers and four sisters, named William, Richard, Walter , 5th Earl of Pembroke, Anselme, Gilbert, Maud (Matilda), Eve, Joan and Sibyl.  She died in Berkhamstead, Hertfordshire, England.
