Hawise Malet 
Hawise was born about 1202 in Curry Mallet, Langport, Somerset, England. Hawise's father was William III Malet , Baron of Curry Malet and her mother was First Wife. Her paternal grandparents were Gilbert Malet , Baron of Curry Malet and Alice de Picot. She had two sisters named Mabel and Bertha. She was the youngest of the three children. She died after May 4th, 1287 in Charlton Musgrove, Wincanton, Somerset, England.General Notes
Hawise Malet, living 4 May 1287; m. (1) bef. 23 Mar 1216/7 Sir Hugh Poyntz, d. 4 Apr 1220, son of Nicholas Poyntz, d. bef. 2 Nov 1223, and Julian, daughter of Hugh Bardolf; with his father Hugh Poyntz joined the Barons in their struggle against King John, and was captured at Worcester, 17 July 1216, and imprisoned; Hawise m. Hawise Malet, apparently child of first unknown wife, coheir to barony of Curry Malet, Somerset, living 4 May 1287; m. (1) bef. 23 Mar 1216/7, Sir Hugh Poyntz, d. shortly bef. 4 Apr 1220 (son & heir apparent of Nicholas Poyntz, dead by 2 Nov 1223, lord of Tockington, co. Gloucester by (1) wife, Juliane, daughter of Hugh Bardolf). With father, Hugh joined the Barons against King John, captured 17 July 1216 at Worcester and imprisoned. Hawise m.
