Einion Eifell ap was born about 1136 in Cynllaith, Denbighshire, Wales.  Einion Eifell ap's father was Madog ap Maredudd , King of Powys and his mother was Eva verch Madog. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Gruffudd "Maelor" ap, Marared verch and Gwenllian verch.  He died in 1196.
