Judith of was born in 0965 in Luxemburg.  Judith of's father was Siegfried Count of Luxembourg and her mother was Hedwig of Nordgau. She had a brother and three sisters, named Frederick I Count of Salm &, Eva of, Luitgarde of and Kunigunde of.  She was the third oldest of the five children.

They had a son named Gerhard II Count of.
