Hugh VI "Le Diable" Sire de was born about 1039 in Lusignan, Vienne, Poitou, France.  Hugh VI "Le Diable" Sire de's father was Hugh V "Le Debonnaire" Sire de Lusignan and his mother was Almonde (Almodis) de la Marche.  His paternal grandparents were Hugh IV Sire de Lusignan and Adelaide (Adelarde\Aldegarde) de Thouars; his maternal grandparents were Bernard I Comte de la Marche and Amelie d' Aulnay. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named William IV Count of, Raymond VI Count of, Berenguer Ramon II "Fratricide" Count, Ramon Berenguer II Count of, Almode of, Garsinde de and Agnes of.  He died in 1102.
