Amabel de was born about 1205 in Egremont, Cumberland, England. Amabel de's father was Richard de Lucy , Lord of Copeland and her mother was Ada de Morville. Her paternal grandparents were Reynold de Lucy , of Copeland & Egremont and Amabel FitzWilliam , Heiress of Copeland; her maternal grandparents were Hugh de Morville , of Burgh & Knaresborough and Hawise (Heloise) de Stuteville. She had a brother and a sister, named Richard de and Alice de. She was the second oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother named Thomas III de. She died after 1225.General Notes
