Hildegarde of was born in 0974.  Hildegarde of's father was William II (IV) "Ironarm" Comte De Poitou and her mother was Comtesse De Champagne Emma De Blois Comtesse De Champagne.  Her paternal grandparents were William I (III) "Towhead" Comte De Poitou and Adele of Normandy; her maternal grandparents were Thibault II "Le Trickeur" Comte De Blois & Chartres and Luitgarde De Vermandois. She had a brother and a sister, named William III (V) "The Great" Duke of and Emma-Parvie of.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 72 on April 1st, 1046 in Jerusalem, Holy Land.
