Gozelon I Duke of Lower Lorraine , Count Verdun

Gozelon I Duke of Lower was born about 0967 in Verdun, Meuse, France.  Gozelon I Duke of Lower's father was Godfrey de Verdun , Marquis Antwerp and his mother was Mathilde Billung of Saxony.  His maternal grandparents were Hermann Billung Duke of Saxony and Hildegardis. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Hermann Count of, Frederick de, Adelheid of, Regilla de, Gerberge of and Ermentrude de.  He was the third youngest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers named Arnold II Count of and Jean de.  He died on April 19th, 1044.
