Adelheid of Lorraine

Adelheid of was born about 0962 in Ardenne, France.  Adelheid of's father was Godfrey de Verdun , Marquis Antwerp and her mother was Mathilde Billung of Saxony.  Her maternal grandparents were Hermann Billung Duke of Saxony and Hildegardis. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Hermann Count of, Gozelon I Duke of Lower, Frederick de, Regilla de, Gerberge of and Ermentrude de.  She was the oldest of the seven children. She had two half-brothers named Jean de and Arnold II Count of.

‌Adelheid of and Charles Count of Lower were married in a religious ceremony before 0979.
