Sir John de Beaumont was born in 1318 in Sherwell, co Devon, England. He died after May 10th, 1342.General Notes
John de Beaumont, 2nd Baron Beaumont, styled in the summons to parliament, 25 February, 1342, "Johannes de Bello-monte," but never entitled Earl of Boghan. His lordship m. Lady Alianore Plantagenet, 5th dau. of Henry, Earl of Lancaster, and great grand-dau. of King Henry III, by whom he had an only child, Henry, born in Brabant, during her ladyship's attendance upon Philippa, Queen Consort of Edward III. This nobleman, like his father, was much engaged in the Scottish wars. His lordship d. in 1342, leaving by the Lady Alianore Plantagenet, his wife (who m. 2ndly, Richard, Earl of Arundel), an only son, Henry de Beaumont, 3rd baron. Sir John de Beaumont and Eleanor were married in a religious ceremony in June 1337. They had a son and two daughters, named Henry de Beaumont II, Joan and Matilda (Maud).

Henry de Beaumont II was born in 1340. He died at the age of 29 on June 17th, 1369.
